Seeking Greater Value for Program Improvement
Most visitors to this page have completed the questionnaire for the Longitudinal Clinical Peer Review Effectiveness Study.
Thank you for your participation. I deeply appreciate your contribution to this effort to advance knowledge in the field of medical management.
With your further cooperation, we can develop an even stronger evidence-base to guide improvements in clinical peer review process.
The following three options are designed to validate and extend the results of the study questionnaire.
All data will be secured and Federally protected as Patient Safety Work Product under the auspices of our Patient Safety Organization (see Data Use and Confidentiality Statement).
Those study participants who contribute additional data will receive a pre-print of all manuscripts resulting from this research that are accepted for publication.
Free Medical Staff Opinion Survey
- Preliminary study results show strong correlations of peer review program effectiveness with medical staff perceptions and engagement that needs further exploration.
- To make it easy for you to contribute to this effort, I am offering a free
Medical Staff Opinion Survey that includes items related to peer review, quality and safety.
- Please contact me ASAP to take advantage of this offer.
Peer Review Program Data
- Cross-reference to actual high-level program data will greatly strengthen the value and significance of this study.
- This data request asks for specific information about your hospital and the peer review program for Federal Fiscal Year 2011 (i.e., the period October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011).
Alternatively, calendar year 2011 data can be submitted.
- Data definitions and measures are conveniently structured for you in an Excel 97 workbook:
Program-Data-Request.xls
- Please email your data file to:
research@QAtoQI.com.
- Those who contribute peer review program data will also receive a normative data report
- All survey participants are eligible for a 50% first-year license discount on PREP-MSTM Peer Review Program Management Software.
Patient Safety Culture Report
- Prior research has demonstrated linkage of organizational culture with both organizational performance and
peer review program effectiveness.
- If your hospital has participated in the AHRQ Hospital Survey of Patient Safety Culture or the equivalent survey offered by various vendors,
that information would complement the study questionnaire.
- Please forward to me a copy of the aggregate results including, if possible, the breakout for medical staff respondents.
- An electronic file (e.g., PDF) is preferred.
